Lyrics

We're a sweet and salty sisterhood

We come together loving like we should

From the city to the neighborhood

We're a sweet and salty sisterhood

My heritage is long with women strong, singers, preachers, teachers along

with mothers who raise their children well

We're all different yet the same, desiring our kids to praise His name

Who knows one day the stories we will tell

Well we try to be strong when indeed we're weak

But it's the power of His spirit we need to seek, you see

That's where the salt comes into play

If we're too sweet we can't compete with what the world gives on the street

Let's season up and salt it up today

The sweetness of our Savior makes us salty to the earth

Preserving God's creation, bringing healing to the hurt

The sweetness of our Savior makes us salty to the earth

Preserving God's creation, bringing healing to the hurt

We're a sweet and salty sisterhood

We come together loving like we should

From the city to the neighborhood

We're a sweet and salty sisterhood

So come on girls, let's season up to be the salt that measures up

We're sisters reflecting quality

We're the light of the world, the salt of the earth

Our daily task will prove it's worth, the flavor of the Savior we should be

The sweetness of our Savior makes us salty to the earth

Preserving God's creation, bringing healing to the hurt

The sweetness of our Savior makes us salty to the earth

Preserving God's creation, bringing healing to the hurt

We're a sweet and salty sisterhood

We come together loving like we should

From the city to the neighborhood

We're a sweet and salty sisterhood

Story

After visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and seeing the impact that my friend Carrie Baber has on exposing and helping to rescue young women from prostitution and trafficking, I came home with this vision: To be a self-appointed ambassador of Redeeming Roses and to expose the truth about this awful plight called sex slavery. It affects every nation and I'll do my part to keep the ministries that work with young girls - alive and brought to light. Here's a picture of some of the Redeeming Roses girls, Lila and Sampwa have returned to their native Cambodia, free and restored.

Lyrics

The crisis surmounts as we turn away our eyes

The slave trade of humans has hit an all-time high

What kind of devil preys on a child,

If you think it's not here, you better think for a while

I'll stand up and fight, to bring it to light - this is why

She's not for sale; this captive is free.

She's not for sale, no more bondage indeed

She needs to know we'll fight for her life

That Jesus himself paid extreme sacrifice,

And now she's bought with a much higher price

And that price is right

I'm only one person, you say it can't be done

To single-handedly fight and feel like you've won

Let's stand and be counted with courage to face;

Uncover, inform and expose this disgrace

Millions of children at stake, there's no time to waste

She's not for sale; this captive is free.

She's not for sale, no more bondage indeed

She needs to know we'll fight for her life

That Jesus himself paid extreme sacrifice,

And now she's bought with a much higher price

And that price is right

Not for sale, not for sale, not for sale....

Lyrics

All my life I searched for a man's man,

Cool, charming suave and debonair

Shotgun, fishin' gear, golf clubs and stuff

A closet full of t-shirts, along with a tux

He's gotta have it all but he's gotta know the Man

Who showed him how he must be born again

This man's man world is now redefined

He's following the Man who gives eternal life

Now he's fish in' with the Fisher of men

He's huntin' for the day Christ returns again

He's strong when he's weak, 'cause He's got 'em by the hand

My man's become the Son of Man's man.

My daddy would tell ya, "He hasn't arrived yet."

He's still working' hard to be that man

Strong and loving, to do what is right

And honor God with all of his might

So you think he'll be tackling' more than a box

To live a holy life with holes in his socks?

A Denzel, George Clooney he'll never be

But he's got the Son of God who has set him free!

Now he's fish in' with the Fisher of men

He's huntin' for the day Christ returns again

He's strong when he's weak, 'cause He's got 'em by the hand

My man's become the Son of Man's man.

John the Baptist - the Son of Man's man

Peter the Rock - the Son of Man's man

Paul & Silas - the Son of Man's men

John the Revelator - the Son of Man's man

Now he's fish in' with the Fisher of men

He's huntin' for the day Christ returns again

He's strong when he's weak, 'cause He's got 'em by the hand

My man's become the Son of Man's man.
